धृष्टद्युम्नस्य द्रोणाभिमुख्यं तथा सात्यकि-कर्ण-समागमः

Dhṛṣṭadyumna’s advance toward Droṇa and the Sātyaki–Karṇa confrontation

ततः स सर्वसेनायां जन: कृष्णधनंजयौ । गर्हयामास तं॑ चापि शशंस पुरुषर्षभम्‌,तदनन्तर सारी कौरव-सेनाके लोग श्रीकृष्ण और अर्जुनकी निन्दा तथा नरश्रेष्ठ भूरिश्रवाकी प्रशंसा करने लगे

tataḥ sa sarvasenāyāṃ janaḥ kṛṣṇadhanañjayau | garhayāmāsa taṃ cāpi śaśaṃsa puruṣarṣabham ||

Sañjaya berkata: Kemudian, di seluruh bala tentera, orang ramai mula mencela Kṛṣṇa dan Dhanañjaya (Arjuna), namun pada pihak yang lain mereka memuji wira itu—“lembu jantan” di antara manusia. Dalam suasana moral yang tegang di medan perang, penilaian khalayak cepat berayun: mengecam apa yang disangka tidak adil, sambil mengagungkan keberanian serta kehormatan seorang ksatria.
