Rātri-yuddhe Droṇasya prahāraḥ — Bhīmasenasya dhārtarāṣṭra-śūrānām nigrahaḥ

दत्ता भीम त्वया संवित्‌ कृतं गुरुवचस्तथा,'भीम! तुमने सूचना दे दी और गुरुजनकी आज्ञाका पालन कर दिया। पाण्डुनन्दन! जिनके शत्रु तुम हो, उन्हें युद्धमें विजय नहीं प्राप्त हो सकती। सौभाग्यकी बात है कि संग्रामभूमिमें सव्यसाची अर्जुन जीवित है

datta bhīma tvayā saṃvit kṛtaṃ guruvacas tathā | bhīma! tvaṃ sūcanāṃ dattavān asi gurūṇāṃ vacanaṃ ca pālitaṃ | pāṇḍunandana! yeṣāṃ tvaṃ śatruḥ teṣāṃ yuddhe jayo na sambhavati | saubhāgyam etat yat saṃgrāmabhūmau savyasācī arjunaḥ jīvati |

Sañjaya berkata: “Wahai Bhima, engkau telah menyampaikan khabar dan engkau juga telah melaksanakan titah para tua-tua. Wahai putera Pandu, mereka yang menjadikan engkau musuh tidak akan memperoleh kemenangan dalam peperangan. Sesungguhnya suatu keberuntungan bahawa di medan laga, Arjuna—Savyasācī, pemanah yang mahir dengan kedua-dua tangan—masih hidup.”
