स विद्ध्वा समरे द्रोणं सिंहनादममुछ्चत । तं वैन ममृषे द्रोण: सर्वशस्त्रभूृतां वर:,इस प्रकार समरांगणमें द्रोणको घायल करके सात्यकिने सिंहके समान गर्जना की। उसे सम्पूर्ण शस्त्रधारियोंमें श्रेष्ठ द्रोणाचार्य सहन न कर सके
sa viddhvā samare droṇaṁ siṁhanādam amuñcata | taṁ vainam amṛṣe droṇaḥ sarvaśastrabhṛtāṁ varaḥ ||
Sañjaya berkata: Setelah melukai Droṇa di medan tempur, Sātyaki mengaum seperti singa. Droṇācārya—yang terunggul antara semua pemegang senjata—tidak dapat menanggung cabaran dan penghinaan itu.
