Bhūriśravas–Sātyaki Saṃvāda and Duel; Arjuna’s Intervention (भूरिश्रवाः–सात्यकि संवादः, युद्धम्, अर्जुन-हस्तक्षेपः)

जलसंध॑ हतं दृष्टवा वृष्णीनामृषभेण तु । आर्य! वृष्णिप्रवर सात्यकिके द्वारा जलसंधको मारा गया देख आपकी सेनामें महान्‌ हाहाकार मच गया

jalasaṃdhaṃ hataṃ dṛṣṭvā vṛṣṇīnām ṛṣabheṇa tu | ārya! vṛṣṇipravara sātyakike dvārā jalasaṃdhako māra gayā dekh āp kī senā meṃ mahān hāhākār mac gayā ||

Sañjaya berkata: Wahai yang mulia! Apabila bala tentera tuan melihat Jalasaṃdha ditewaskan oleh Sātyaki—yang terunggul dalam kalangan Vṛṣṇi, wira seumpama banteng—maka tercetuslah jerit pekik dan panik besar di seluruh angkatan tuan. Adegan ini menunjukkan bahawa gugurnya seorang pahlawan ternama mampu menggoncang semangat dan mengubah nada etika serta haluan strategi pertempuran.
