Droṇa-parva 112: Karṇa–Bhīma Engagement and Duryodhana’s Protective Order
अपर्यन्ते बले मग्नो जह्मादपि च जीवितम् | तस्मिंश्न निहते युद्धे कथं जीवेत मादृूश:
aparyante bale magno jahmād api ca jīvitam | tasmiṁś ca nihate yuddhe kathaṁ jīvet mādṛśaḥ ||
Yudhiṣṭhira berkata: “Tenggelam dan dihimpit dalam bala tentera yang tiada bertepi ini, aku telah meninggalkan bahkan harapan untuk hidup. Jika dia gugur dalam peperangan ini, bagaimana mungkin orang sepertiku dapat terus hidup?”
