द्रोणपर्व (अध्याय ११२) — कर्णभीमयोर्युद्धम्, दुर्योधनस्य रक्षणादेशः
Droṇa-parva 112: Karṇa–Bhīma Engagement and Duryodhana’s Protective Order
एक एव सदा कृष्णो मित्राणामभयड्करः । रणे संत्यजति प्राणान् द्वितीयस्त्वं च सात्यके
eka eva sadā kṛṣṇo mitrāṇām abhayakaraḥ | raṇe saṃtyajati prāṇān dvitīyas tvaṃ ca sātyake, sātyake ||
Yudhiṣṭhira berkata: “Bagi kami, sentiasa ada seorang—Kṛṣṇa—yang menganugerahkan keberanian tanpa gentar kepada sahabat-sahabatnya. Di medan perang, baginda sedia mengorbankan nyawanya sekalipun; dan yang kedua seumpama itu ialah engkau, wahai Sātyaki—wahai Sātyaki!”
