भैमसेनिर्धनुश्छित्त्वा सौमदत्तेरमहात्मन: । ननाद बलवन्नादं विव्याध च शितै: शरै:,फिर भीमसेनके पुत्र सुतसोमने पैने बाणोंद्वारा महामना सोमदत्तकुमारके धनुषको काटकर उन्हें भी बींध डाला और बड़े चोरसे गर्जना की

bhaimasenir dhanuś chittvā saumadatter mahātmanaḥ | nanāda balavan nādaṃ vivyādha ca śitaiḥ śaraiḥ ||

Sañjaya berkata: Putera Bhīmasena memutuskan busur putera Somadatta yang berhati luhur, lalu menikamnya dengan anak-anak panah tajam dan mengaum dengan sekuat-kuatnya—menzahirkan derasnya gelora pertempuran, apabila kepahlawanan dan gertakan digunakan untuk mematahkan keupayaan lawan meneruskan perang.
