Duryodhana Seeks Droṇa’s Counsel; Imperative to Protect Jayadratha; Pāñcāla Assault on Duryodhana

Educational Q&A

The verse stresses that external protections—armor, boons, even divine craftsmanship—cannot ultimately override the moral and karmic consequences of one’s choices; in the crucible of war, wrongdoing and arrogance meet their due result.

Arjuna declares that Duryodhana, already struck by his arrows, will not be saved by any extraordinary armor, even if it is of divine origin; it is a vow-like assertion of resolve and of the inevitability of Duryodhana’s downfall.
