न विचेरुस्तदाकाशे भूतान्याकाशगाम्यपि । उन दोनोंको दिव्यास्त्र धारण किये देख वहाँ महान्‌ हाहाकार मच गया। उस समय आकाशचारी प्राणी भी आकाशमें विचरण नहीं करते थे

sañjaya uvāca |

na vicerus tadākāśe bhūtāny ākāśagāmy api |

Sanjaya berkata: Pada saat itu, tiada makhluk bergerak di angkasa—bahkan yang tabiatnya pun mengembara di udara. Melihat kedua pahlawan memegang senjata ilahi, tercetuslah jerit cemas yang besar di situ; demikianlah rasa gentar dan kagum terhadap senjata samawi yang hampir dilepaskan.
