Dhṛtarāṣṭra’s appraisal of Vāsudeva’s deeds
एते चान्ये च बहवो येषामर्थाय संजय । त्यक्तार: संयुगे प्राणान् कि तेषामजितं युधि,संजय! ये तथा और भी बहुत-से वीर जिनके लिये युद्धमें प्राण त्याग करनेको तैयार हैं, उनके लिये कौन-सी ऐसी वस्तु होगी, जो जीती न जा सके
ete cānye ca bahavo yeṣām arthāya sañjaya | tyaktāraḥ saṃyuge prāṇān kiṃ teṣām ajitaṃ yudhi, sañjaya ||
Vaiśampāyana berkata: “Dan ramai lagi pahlawan yang lain, wahai Sañjaya, yang demi dirinya sanggup membuang nyawa di medan perang. Bagi orang-orang sedemikian, wahai Sañjaya, apakah yang mungkin masih tidak dapat ditaklukkan dalam perang?”
