भीमसेन-दुर्योधन-प्रहारः तथा घटोत्कचमायाप्रादुर्भावः | Bhīmasena–Duryodhana Clash and the Manifestation of Ghaṭotkaca’s Māyā
एकी भूता: सुसंयत्ता: कौरवाणां महाचमूम् । व्यूहाय विदधू राजन् पाण्डवान् प्रति दंशिता:
ekībhūtāḥ susaṁyattāḥ kauravāṇāṁ mahācamūm | vyūhāya vidadhu rājann pāṇḍavān prati daṁśitāḥ ||
Sañjaya berkata: Wahai Raja, kaum Kaurava—bersatu dan siap sepenuhnya—mula menyusun bala tentera mereka yang besar ke dalam formasi perang, setelah mempersenjatai diri untuk menghadapi Pāṇḍava. Pada saat ini epik menegaskan beban moral perang: keganasan yang bakal meletus bukan kebetulan, tetapi dirancang dan diterima dengan sengaja; kesepakatan bersama dan disiplin menjadikannya lebih berat.
संजय उवाच
The verse highlights deliberate agency in war: when leaders unite, arm themselves, and systematically arrange forces, the conflict becomes a consciously chosen act. This intensifies ethical accountability—organization and readiness are not morally neutral when directed toward adharma-driven hostility.
Sañjaya reports to King Dhṛtarāṣṭra that the Kauravas, united and prepared, are arranging their large army into a formal battle-formation (vyūha) to fight the Pāṇḍavas.
