विन्दानुविन्दावावन्त्याविरावन्तमभिद्रुतौ । नकुल और सहदेवने अपने मामा मद्रराज शल्यपर धावा किया। अवन्तीके विन्द और अनुविन्दने इरावानूपर आक्रमण किया

Transliteration

vindānuvindāv āvantyāv irāvantam abhidrūtau |

Translation

Sañjaya berkata: Vindā dan Anuvindā, para putera Avanti, meluru pantas menyerang Irāvān. Dalam gelombang pertempuran yang sama, Nakula dan Sahadeva menerpa bapa saudara sebelah ibu mereka, Śalya, raja Madra—menunjukkan bagaimana perang memaksa kaum kerabat yang rapat sekalipun bertemu sebagai musuh, masing-masing terikat pada kesetiaan dan kewajipan yang dipilihnya.
