भीष्मस्य भीमसेन-निरोधः
Bhīṣma checks Bhīmasena; matched engagements intensify
नते युद्धान्निवर्तन्ते धर्मोपेता महाबला: । श्रिया परमया युक्ता यतो धर्मस्ततो जय:,वे युद्धसे कभी पीछे नहीं हटते हैं। धर्मबलसे सम्पन्न होनेके कारण ही वे महाबली और उत्तम समृद्धिसे युक्त हैं। जहाँ धर्म होता है, उसी पक्षकी विजय होती है
na te yuddhān nivartante dharmopetā mahābalāḥ | śriyā paramayā yuktā yato dharmas tato jayaḥ ||
Sañjaya berkata: “Orang-orang perkasa yang berpegang pada dharma tidak berpaling daripada peperangan. Kerana disokong oleh kekuatan kebenaran, mereka benar-benar gagah dan dikurniai kemakmuran yang tertinggi. Sesungguhnya, di mana dharma berdiri, di situlah kemenangan menyusul.”
