Kurukṣetra-sainyadarśana and Arjuna-viṣāda (धर्मक्षेत्रे समवेता युयुत्सवः — अर्जुनविषाद)

वेदश्रुति महापुण्ये ब्रह्म॒ण्ये जातवेदसि । जम्बूकटकचैत्येषु नित्यं सन्निहितालये,तुम वेदोंकी श्रुति हो, तुम्हारा स्वरूप अत्यन्त पवित्र है; वेद और ब्राह्मण तुम्हें प्रिय हैं। तुम्हीं जातवेदा अग्निकी शक्ति हो; जम्बू, कटक और चैत्यवृक्षोंमें तुम्हारा नित्य निवास है

arjuna uvāca | vedaśruti mahāpuṇye brahmaṇye jātavedasi | jambūkaṭakacaityeṣu nityaṁ sannihitālaye ||

Arjuna berkata: “Wahai jelmaan wahyu Veda, yang maha suci dan berbakti kepada Brahman serta para Brahmin; wahai Jātavedas, kuasa api yang mengetahui dan memikul segala persembahan—di tempat-tempat suci Jambū, Kaṭaka dan Caitya, Engkau sentiasa bersemayam, sentiasa hadir sebagai kediaman.”
