Granting Sañjaya Divine Sight and the Description of Omens
इस प्रकार श्रीमह्मा भारत भीष्मपर्वके अन्तर्गत जम्बूण्डविनिर्माणपर्वमें सैन्यशिक्षणविषयक पहला अध्याय पूरा हुआ
vaiśampāyana uvāca
tataḥ pūrvāpare sainye samīkṣya bhagavān ṛṣiḥ |
sarvavedavidāṃ śreṣṭho vyāsaḥ satyavatīsutaḥ ||
Vaiśaṃpāyana berkata: Kemudian sang resi yang mulia—Vyāsa, putera Satyavatī, yang terunggul antara semua yang mengetahui Veda—setelah meninjau kedua-dua bala tentera yang tersusun berhadapan di sisi timur dan barat, bersiap untuk bertindak menurut apa yang bakal terjadi.
