Sañjaya berkata: Melihat Pitāmaha Bhīṣma yang berhati agung itu meluru turun ke medan tempur, mereka memusatkan pandangan kepadanya—seolah-olah kewibawaan yang paling dihormati sedang turun ke dalam keganasan perang, tempat bahkan yang paling dimuliakan pun harus bertindak menurut dharma yang dipilihnya sendiri.
