प्रादुश्चक्रेडस्त्रमत्युग्रं भास्करं कुरुनन्दन: । ततः प्रकाशमभवज्जगत् सर्व महीपते,यह भयंकर एवं महान् अन्धकार देखकर कुरु-कुलको आनन्दित करनेवाले अभिमन्युने अत्यन्त उग्र भास्करास्त्रको प्रकट किया। राजन्! इससे सम्पूर्ण जगतमें प्रकाश छा गया
sañjaya uvāca | prāduścakred astram atyugraṃ bhāskaraṃ kurunandanaḥ | tataḥ prakāśam abhavaj jagat sarvaṃ mahīpate ||
Sañjaya berkata: Abhimanyu—kegembiraan kaum Kuru—telah menzahirkan senjata Bhāskara yang amat dahsyat. Maka, wahai raja, seluruh dunia pun dipenuhi cahaya.
