Vāc–Manas Saṃvāda: Prāṇa-Apāna and the Primacy Debate (वाक्–मनस् संवादः)
चित्तं ख्रुवश्न वित्तं च पवित्र ज्ञानमुत्तमम् । सुविभक्तमिदं सर्व जगदासीदिति श्रुतम्,इस यज्ञमें चित्त ही खुवा तथा पवित्र एवं उत्तम ज्ञान ही धन है। यह सम्पूर्ण जगत् पहले भलीभाँति विभक्त था--ऐसा सुना गया है
cittaṁ dhruvaṁ vittañ ca pavitraṁ jñānam uttamam | suvibhaktam idaṁ sarvaṁ jagad āsīd iti śrutam ||
Brahmana itu berkata: “Dalam korban ini, minda ialah asas yang teguh; dan pengetahuan yang suci lagi tertinggi itulah kekayaan yang sebenar. Dikatakan bahawa seluruh jagat ini dahulu pernah wujud dalam keadaan yang teratur, terbahagi dengan sepatutnya.”
