अश्रमवासिनां विषादः — Lament in Hastināpura after the Elders’ Forest Withdrawal

विद्यते न भयं चापि परलोकान्ममानघा: । “इसमें संदेह नहीं कि मैं आपलोगोंके दर्शनमात्रसे पवित्र हो गया। निष्पाप महर्षियो! अब मुझे परलोकसे कोई भय नहीं है

vidyate na bhayaṃ cāpi paralokān mamānaghāḥ |

Vaiśaṃpāyana berkata: “Wahai para resi yang tidak berdosa, aku sama sekali tidak takut akan alam selepas mati. Sesungguhnya, hanya dengan memandang kalian aku telah disucikan; maka tiada keraguan bahawa akhirat tidak lagi menakutkan bagiku.”
