Educational Q&A

Creation is presented as an ordered emergence of diverse beings from a single potent source, with distinct modes (such as the taijasa, activity-energized mode) arising from differentiated aspects of that source’s tejas—linking cosmology with the guṇa-based understanding of nature.

Vasiṣṭha describes a stage of cosmic generation: the powerful creator brings forth the collective of beings, and from his radiance arises the taijasa class within the worlds—associated with energetic, mobile, activity-dominant life.
