दानफलप्रकरणम् — उपानहदानं, तिलदानं, भूमिदानं, गोदानं, अन्नदानं च

Gifts and Their Stated Results: Footwear, Sesame, Land, Cows, and Food

उपतिष्ठन्ति पुण्यानि सदा भूमिप्रदं नरम्‌ । शड्खभद्रासनं छत्र॑ वराश्वा वरवाहनम्‌,भूमिदान करनेवाले मनुष्यके यहाँ सदा पुण्यके फलस्वरूप शंख, सिंहासन, छत्र, उत्तम घोड़े और श्रेष्ठ वाहन उपस्थित होते हैं

upatiṣṭhanti puṇyāni sadā bhūmipradaṃ naram | śaṅkha-bhadrāsanaṃ chatraṃ varāśvā vara-vāhanam ||

Bhīṣma berkata: “Pahala yang mulia sentiasa mengiringi insan yang mengurniakan tanah. Sebagai tanda pahala itu, sentiasa ada baginya sangkakala, singgahsana yang baik, payung diraja, kuda-kuda pilihan, dan kenderaan yang unggul.”
