युधिछिर उवाच षडपध्वंसजा: के स्यु: के वाप्पपसदास्तथा । एतत्‌ सर्व यथातत्त्वं व्याख्यातुं मे त्वमरहसि,युधिष्ठिरने पूछा--दादाजी! छ: प्रकारके अपध्वंसज पुत्र कौन-से हैं तथा अपसद किन्हें कहा गया है? यह सब आप मुझे यथार्थरूपसे बताइये

yudhiṣṭhira uvāca | ṣaḍ-apadhvaṃsajāḥ ke syuḥ ke vā apapasadās tathā | etat sarvaṃ yathātattvaṃ vyākhyātuṃ me tvam arhasi ||

Yudhiṣṭhira berkata: “Wahai datukanda, siapakah enam jenis anak yang disebut apadhvaṃsaja, dan siapakah pula yang dinamakan apapasada? Jelaskanlah semuanya kepadaku menurut hakikat yang sebenar, sebagaimana tuanku berkemampuan melakukannya.”
