गोमूल्यनिर्णयः — The Determination of Value through the Cow

ते चापि सदृशं वर्ण जनयन्ति स्वयोनिषु | परस्परस्य दारेषु जनयन्ति विगर्हितान्
te cāpi sadṛśaṃ varṇaṃ janayanti svayoniṣu | parasparasya dāreṣu janayanti vigarhitān |
Bhishma berkata: “Mereka yang lahir daripada varṇa campuran juga memperanakkan zuriat yang serupa (campuran) apabila bersatu dalam kalangan mereka sendiri. Tetapi apabila mereka berhubungan dengan isteri sesama mereka—wanita daripada kelompok yang berlainan—anak yang lahir dianggap lebih tercela daripada mereka sendiri.”
