Devaśarmā–Vipula Dialogue on Ahorātra–Ṛtu as Moral Witnesses
vipula uvāca kāni rūpāṇi śakrasya bhavanty āgacchato mune | vapus tejaś ca kīdṛg vai tan me vyākhyātum arhasi ||
The verse models a dharmic mode of learning: respectful inquiry into the signs of divine presence (form and radiance) so that one may recognize truth and not be misled by mere appearances.
Vipula addresses a sage and asks for a clear description of how Indra appears when he arrives—what forms he assumes and what kind of bodily splendor and radiance accompany him.
