अहिंसयित्वा ब्रह्महत्याविधानम् / Brahmahatyā incurred without physical violence

प्रहरेन्न नरेन्द्रेषु न हन्याद् गां तथैव च । भ्रूणहत्यासमं चैव उभयं यो निषेवते,राजाओं पर प्रहार न करे और गायको न मारे। जो राजा और गौपर प्रहाररूप द्विविध दुष्कर्मका सेवन करता है, उसे भ्रूणहत्याके समान पाप लगता है
Transliteration
praharenna narendreṣu na hanyād gāṃ tathaiva ca | bhrūṇahatyāsamaṃ caiva ubhayaṃ yo niṣevate ||
Translation
Bhishma berkata: “Janganlah menyerang raja, dan jangan pula membunuh lembu. Sesiapa yang melakukan salah satu daripada dua kejahatan ini—kekerasan terhadap raja atau penyembelihan lembu—menanggung dosa yang dianggap setara dengan membunuh janin.”
