पूज्यमाने ततस्तस्मिन्‌ मोदते स महेश्वर: । सुखं ददाति प्रीतात्मा भक्तानां भक्तवत्सल:,ऋषि, देवता, गन्धर्व और अप्सराएँ ऊर्ध्वलोकमें स्थित शिवलिंगकी ही पूजा करती हैं। इस प्रकार शिवलिंगकी पूजा होनेपर भक्तवत्सल भगवान्‌ महेश्वर बड़े प्रसन्न होते हैं और प्रसन्नचित्त होकर वे भक्तोंको सुख देते हैं

Transliteration

pūjyamāne tatastasmīn modate sa maheśvaraḥ | sukhaṃ dadāti prītātmā bhaktānāṃ bhaktavatsalaḥ ||

Translation

Apabila lambang suci itu dipuja, Mahādeva (Maheśvara) berasa gembira. Dengan hati yang penuh kasih kepada para bhakta, dan sentiasa menyayangi para penyembah-Nya, Dia—dengan jiwa yang berkenan—mengurniakan kebahagiaan dan kesejahteraan kepada mereka.
