Shloka 13

अत्रिणा त्वथ सामर्थ्य कृतमुत्तमतेजसा । द्विजेनाग्निद्धितीयेन जपता चर्मवाससा

atriṇā tv atha sāmarthyaṁ kṛtam uttama-tejasā | dvijena agni-dvitīyena japatā carma-vāsasā ||

Bhīṣma berkata: “Renungkanlah kekuatan luar biasa yang diperlihatkan di sini oleh resi Atri—yang bersinar dengan keagungan rohani tertinggi—oleh sang dwija itu yang menjadikan api suci sebagai sahabat setia, hidup dalam laku tapa, melafazkan mantra sambil berselimut kulit rusa. Lihatlah kebesaran perbuatannya. Aku telah menghuraikan dengan panjang lebar amal Atri yang mulia itu. Maka aku berkata: brāhmaṇa adalah yang terunggul; katakan kepadaku, kṣatriya manakah yang lebih tinggi daripada Atri?”
