Shloka 5

शृणु मन्त्रविधिं कृत्स्नं प्रोच्यमानं मयानघ । य॑ श्रुत्वा पाण्डवश्रेष्ठ सर्वपापै: प्रमुच्यते,अनघ! पाण्डवश्रेष्ठ! मैं इस मन्त्रकी सम्पूर्ण विधि बताता हूँ, सुनो। उसे सुनकर मनुष्य सब पापोंसे मुक्त हो जाता है

śṛṇu mantravidhim kṛtsnaṃ procyamānaṃ mayānagha | yaḥ śrutvā pāṇḍavaśreṣṭha sarvapāpaiḥ pramucyate ||

Bhishma berkata: “Wahai yang tidak bernoda, wahai yang terbaik antara para Pāṇḍava, dengarlah ketika aku menghuraikan dengan lengkap tata cara mantra suci ini. Sesiapa yang mendengarnya akan terlepas daripada segala dosa.”
