अर्चिष्मानर्चित: कुम्भो विशुद्धात्मा विशोधन: । अनिरुद्धो5प्रतिरथ: प्रद्युम्नोडमितविक्रम:
bhīṣma uvāca | arciṣmān arcitaḥ kumbho viśuddhātmā viśodhanaḥ | aniruddho 'pratirathaḥ pradyumno 'mitavikramaḥ ||
Bhīṣma berkata: Dia bersinar gemilang, layak disembah, bejana yang menampung segala yang ada; Diri-Nya sepenuhnya suci, dan Dia menyucikan yang lain. Tidak terbelenggu dan tidak terkalahkan, tanpa juara lawan, Dialah Pradyumna, yang keberaniannya tiada terukur.
भीष्म उवाच
The verse teaches that the Divine is simultaneously the cosmic support (kumbhaḥ) and the inner purifier (viśodhanaḥ): devotion and remembrance are presented as ethically transformative, cleansing the heart and strengthening steadfastness through recognition of the Lord’s unrivaled power.
Within Bhishma’s instruction in Anuśāsana Parva, he recites a sequence of divine epithets—praising the Lord’s radiance, worship-worthiness, purity, invincibility, and specific vyūha-forms (Aniruddha, Pradyumna)—as part of a devotional and didactic hymn meant to guide conduct and inner purification.
