Educational Q&A

Steady devotion expressed through disciplined morning purity and focused remembrance, culminating in the recitation of Vāsudeva’s thousand names, is presented as a powerful dhārmic practice that yields inner fearlessness and comprehensive well-being—ethical excellence, vitality, and stable prosperity.

In the Anuśāsana Parva’s instruction section, Bhīṣma continues advising Yudhiṣṭhira by praising the practice of chanting the Vāsudeva-sahasranāma, describing the qualities of the practitioner and the fruits that follow from such devoted recitation.
