This line is a colophon rather than a doctrinal verse: it frames the ethical setting by locating the discussion within Dāna-dharma (the duty and spirit of giving) and by identifying the chapter’s focus as the māhātmya (sacred greatness) of the Supreme Person, Śrī Kṛṣṇa—implying that charity and right conduct are to be understood in relation to the divine ideal.
The text is formally closing a chapter: it announces that, within the Anuśāsana Parva’s Dāna-dharma section, the 147th chapter on the greatness of the Supreme Person (identified here with Śrī Kṛṣṇa) has ended. It functions as an editorial/recitational end-marker in the Gītā Press presentation.
