Discerning Dharma in Accord with Time
अथ चेन्मानुषे लोके कदाचिदुपपद्यते । तत्र दीर्घायुरुत्पन्न: स नर: सुखमेधते,अथवा यदि कदाचित् वह मनुष्यलोकमें जन्म लेता है तो वह मनुष्य दीर्घायु और सुखी होता है
atha cen mānuṣe loke kadācid upapadyate | tatra dīrghāyur utpannaḥ sa naraḥ sukham edhate ||
Maheshvara bersabda: “Dan jika, kebetulan, dia terlahir di dunia manusia, maka orang itu lahir panjang umur dan berkembang dalam kebahagiaan.”
श्रीमहेश्वर उवाच
The verse links the circumstances of human birth with auspicious results: when such a birth occurs (implying prior merit), it yields longevity and flourishing happiness, reflecting the ethical logic of karma and puṇya.
Maheśvara continues a doctrinal explanation about outcomes across births, stating that if the subject under discussion happens to be born among humans, that person becomes long-lived and prospers in happiness.
