कालयुक्तधर्मविवेकः

Discerning Dharma in Accord with Time

यस्तु शुक्लाभिजातीय: प्राणिघातविवर्जक: । निक्षिप्तशस्त्रो निर्दण्डो न हिंसति कदाचन

yastu śuklābhijātīyaḥ prāṇighātavivarjakaḥ | nikṣiptaśastro nirdaṇḍo na hiṃsati kadācana ||

Mahādeva bersabda: “Adapun lelaki yang lahir daripada keturunan yang suci dan menjauhi pembunuhan makhluk bernyawa—yang telah meletakkan senjata dan meninggalkan hukuman—tidak pernah melakukan kekerasan pada bila-bila masa.” Dalam konteks dharma, ini memuji cita ahiṃsā: seseorang yang tidak mencederakan, tidak menyuruh orang lain mencederakan, dan tidak merestui perbuatan mencederakan; yang memelihara kasih sayang terhadap segala makhluk, dipuji sebagai mencapai martabat ketuhanan dan menikmati kenikmatan yang datang dengan sendirinya di alam para dewa.
