Rudra-Śiva: Names, Two Natures, and the Logic of Epithets (रुद्रनाम-बहुरूपत्व-प्रकरणम्)
श्रीभगवानुवाच हन्त ते<हं प्रवक्ष्यामि मुनिधर्ममनुत्तमम् । यं कृत्वा मुनयो यान्ति सिद्धि स्वतपसा शुभे
śrībhagavān uvāca hanta te ’haṁ pravakṣyāmi munidharmam anuttamam | yaṁ kṛtvā munayo yānti siddhiṁ svatapasaḥ śubhe ||
Tuhan Yang Maha Mulia bersabda: “Marilah, akan aku nyatakan kepadamu dharma para resi yang tiada bandingnya. Dengan mengamalkannya, para pelihat—melalui tapa mereka sendiri—mencapai kesempurnaan rohani, wahai yang berbahagia.”
श्रीमहेश्वर उवाच
The verse introduces an authoritative instruction: the supreme discipline (dharma) of sages, whose sincere practice leads to siddhi (spiritual perfection) through one’s own tapas (austerity and self-discipline).
The speaker, identified as the Blessed Lord, begins a didactic section by promising to explain the highest ‘muni-dharma’ to the addressed listener (“O auspicious one”), framing the teaching as a proven path followed by sages to attain perfection.
