Rudra-Śiva: Names, Two Natures, and the Logic of Epithets (रुद्रनाम-बहुरूपत्व-प्रकरणम्)
ये त्वन्ये शुद्धमनसो दयाधर्मपरायणा: । सन्तश्नलक्रचरा: पुण्या: सोमलोकचराश्न ये
ye tv anye śuddha-manaso dayā-dharma-parāyaṇāḥ | santaś ca nitya-kriyā-carāḥ puṇyāḥ soma-loka-carāś ca ye ||
Namun orang-orang lain yang berhati suci, berpegang teguh pada belas kasihan dan dharma, hidup sebagai insan mulia yang berdisiplin, serta beroleh pahala—makhluk sedemikian bergerak di alam Soma. Syair ini menegaskan bahawa kesucian batin, kasih sayang, dan keteguhan dalam laku etika membawa kepada keadaan luhur selepas kematian.
श्रीमहेश्वर उवाच
The verse teaches that purity of mind, compassion, and unwavering commitment to dharma—supported by steady observance of rightful duties—generate puṇya (merit) and lead to an elevated posthumous destination, here described as Soma-loka.
Maheśvara is describing categories of beings and their destinations based on conduct. In this line he points to “other” virtuous persons—pure-minded, compassionate, dharma-oriented, and disciplined—who attain and dwell in Soma’s heavenly realm.
