Śiva-nāmānukīrtana-prastāvaḥ
Prologue to the praise of Śiva and the Upamanyu testimony
तमाह भगवान् रुद्र: साक्षात् तुष्टोडस्मि तेडनघ । ग्रन्थकूल्लोकविख्यातो भवितास्यजरामर:
tam āha bhagavān rudraḥ sākṣāt tuṣṭo ’smi te ’nagha | granthakṛl lokavikhyāto bhavitāsy ajarāmaraḥ ||
Kemudian Tuhan Rudra menampakkan diri secara langsung dan bersabda: “Wahai yang tidak bernoda, Aku amat berkenan kepadamu. Engkau akan menjadi pengarang sebuah risalah yang termasyhur di seluruh dunia, dan engkau akan tidak menua dan tidak mati.”
