Strī-dharma: Śiva’s Inquiry, Umā’s Consultation, and Gaṅgā’s Instruction

तिलोदकं सदा श्राद्धे मन्यन्ते पितरो$क्षयम्‌ । दीपे च कृसरे चैव तुष्यन्तेडस्थ पितामहा:

tilodakaṃ sadā śrāddhe manyante pitaro 'kṣayam | dīpe ca kṛsare caiva tuṣyante 'sya pitāmahāḥ ||

“Para Pitṛ menganggap persembahan air bercampur wijen dalam upacara śrāddha sebagai derma yang tidak susut (akṣaya). Dan dengan pemberian pelita serta kṛsara (hidangan nasi dan kekacang), para datuk-nenek moyang menjadi reda.”
