Educational Q&A

The verse underscores that a righteous royal household sustains both sacred (divine/ritual) duties and practical human responsibilities simultaneously; dharma is lived through the full range of prescribed actions, not through renunciation of worldly order.

Bhishma narrates that as the sages Bhṛgu and Agastya continue their conversation, events and observances in King Nahusha’s residence are actively underway—covering both ceremonial/divine rites and ordinary human activities.
