नहुषोपाख्यानम्—दीपदान-धूप-बलीकर्म-प्रशंसा
Nahūṣa Episode and the Commendation of Lamp-Gifting and Household Offerings
इस प्रकार श्रीमह्ाभारत अनुशासनपर्वके अंतर्गत दानधर्मपर्वमें अगस्त्य और भ्रगुका संवादनामक निन्यानबेवाँ अध्याय पूरा हुआ ॥/ ९९ ॥। ऑपन--माजल छा अफ<-जआकऋा-ज शततमो< ध्याय: नहुषका पतन, शतक्रतुका इन्द्रपदपर पुन: अभिषेक तथा दीपदानकी महिमा युधिछिर उवाच कथं वै स विपन्नश्न कथं वै पातितो भुवि । कथं चानिन्द्रतां प्राप्तस्तद् भवान् वक्तुमरहति,युधिष्ठिरने पूछा--पितामह! राजा नहुषपर कैसे विपत्ति आयी? वे कैसे पृथ्वीपर गिराये गये और किस तरह वे इन्द्रपदसे वंचित हो गये? इसे आप बतानेकी कृपा करें
Yudhiṣṭhira uvāca: kathaṃ vai sa vipannaḥ kathaṃ vai pātito bhuvi | kathaṃ cānindratāṃ prāptas tad bhavān vaktum arhati ||
Yudhiṣṭhira berkata: “Bagaimanakah dia jatuh ke dalam malapetaka? Bagaimanakah dia dihumban ke bumi? Dan bagaimanakah dia kehilangan kedudukan Indra? Mohon tuan berkenan menjelaskannya kepadaku.”
