उपदेशदोषप्रसङ्गः (Upadeśa-doṣa-prasaṅgaḥ) — The Risk of Misapplied Counsel

विज्ञातमेवं भवतु करिष्ये प्रियमात्मन: । गत्वा55श्रमपदाद्‌ दूरमुटजं कृतवांस्तु सः,अच्छा, एक बात समझमें आयी। शूद्रके लिये ऐसा ही विधान हो तो रहे। मैं तो वही करूँगा जो मुझे प्रिय लगता है--ऐसा विचारकर उसने उस आश्रमसे दूर जाकर एक पर्णकुटी बना ली

vijñātam evaṁ bhavatu kariṣye priyam ātmanaḥ | gatvā āśramapadād dūram uṭajaṁ kṛtavāṁs tu saḥ ||

“Baiklah; aku telah mengerti. Aku akan melakukan apa yang menyenangkan hatiku sendiri.” Setelah bertekad demikian, dia pergi jauh dari tapak pertapaan itu lalu membina sebuah pondok daun untuk dirinya.
