जामदग्न्येन रामेण सर्वास्त्रिविदुषां वर: । योब्युध्यत महातेजा भार्गवेण महात्मना

Transliteration

Vaiśampāyana uvāca | Jāmadagnyena Rāmeṇa sarvāstraviduṣāṃ varaḥ | yo 'bhyudyata mahātejā Bhārgaveṇa mahātmanā ||

Translation

Vaiśampāyana berkata: Bhīṣma yang perkasa—terunggul antara semua yang mengetahui ilmu persenjataan—bangkit bertempur menentang Rāma Jāmadagnya (Paraśurāma), sang Bhārgava yang berhati agung.
