द्वितीयो विक्षराद्‌ यस्तु नराधिप महासुर: । पाण्ड्यराष्ट्राधिप इति विख्यात: सो5भवन्नूप:,नराधिप! विक्षरसे छोटा उसका दूसरा भाई बल, जो असुरोंका राजा था, पाण्ड्य देशका सुविख्यात राजा हुआ

dvitīyo vikṣarād yastu narādhipa mahāsuraḥ | pāṇḍyarāṣṭrādhipa iti vikhyātaḥ so 'bhavannūpaḥ, narādhipa ||

Vaiśaṃpāyana berkata: “Saudara kedua, selepas Vikṣara—seorang Asura yang amat perkasa dan juga pemerintah di kalangan manusia—menjadi masyhur sebagai penguasa negeri Pāṇḍya. Maka, wahai raja, dia pun menjadi pemerintah dunia yang terkenal.”
