King Duḥṣanta’s Entry into the Forest Hunt

Vaiśampāyana berkata: Setelah berfikir demikian, raja menimbang-nimbangnya berulang kali.

The verse highlights deliberate ethical decision-making in kingship: the ruler repeatedly reflects and chooses a course that preserves purpose and responsibility—here, ensuring that procreative potential and the rightful time for conception are not rendered futile, aligning personal action with dynastic and marital duty.
Vaiśampāyana narrates that King Vasu, after repeated reflection, decides to make the emitted seed effective rather than wasted, with the additional concern that his wife Girikā’s fertile period should not pass fruitlessly.
