शक्रस्तु वीर्यसदृशमि ध्यभारं गिरिप्रभम्‌ | समुद्यम्यानयामास नातिकृच्छादिव प्रभु:,इन्द्र शक्तिशाली थे। उन्होंने अपने बलके अनुसार लकड़ीका एक पहाड़-जैसा बोझ उठा लिया और उसे बिना कष्टके ही वे ले आये

śakrastu vīryasadṛśam idhyabhāraṃ giriprabham | samudyamyānayāmāsa nātikṛcchād iva prabhuḥ ||

Śaunaka berkata: Indra, tuan yang perkasa, mengangkat beban kayu api sebesar gunung, setimpal dengan kekuatannya, lalu membawanya pulang dengan mudah seolah-olah tidak memerlukan sebarang usaha.
