रमणीयं शिवं पुण्यं सर्वर्जनमनोहरैः । नानापक्षिरुतं रम्यं कद्रूपुत्रप्रहर्षणम्
ramaṇīyaṃ śivaṃ puṇyaṃ sarvajanamanoharaiḥ | nānāpaksirutaṃ ramyaṃ kadrūputrapraharṣaṇam ||
Hutan itu indah mempesona, membawa berkat, dan suci—dikaruniai sifat-sifat unggul yang memikat hati semua insan. Dipenuhi kicau pelbagai jenis burung dan amat elok rupanya, ia menambah sukacita putera-putera Kadru (para ular).
पितामह उवाच
