धर्मराजे ह्ाृतिप्रीत्या पूर्णचन्द्र इवामले । प्रजानां रेमिरे तुल्यं नेत्राणि हृदयानि च
vaiśampāyana uvāca |
dharmarāje hṛtiprītyā pūrṇacandra ivāmale |
prājānāṃ remire tulyaṃ netrāṇi hṛdayāni ca ||
Vaiśampāyana berkata: Oleh kasih sayang yang tulus terhadap Dharmarāja (Yudhiṣṭhira)—suci dan menenteramkan seperti bulan purnama yang bersih tanpa cela—setiap kali rakyat memandang baginda, mata dan hati mereka bersukacita serentak. Kehadiran baginda sendiri membawa kebahagiaan yang sama dan tanpa dipaksa, seolah-olah dharma itu nyata dalam diri seorang raja.
