देवसत्रे मृत्युनिरोधः, पूर्वेन्द्राणां मानुषावतरणम्, द्रौपदी-वरकथनम्

अर्जुनेन प्रयुक्तांस्तान् बाणान् वेगवतस्तदा । प्रतिहत्य ननादोच्चै: सैन्यानि तदपूजयन्
Vaiśampāyana uvāca: Arjunena prayuktāṁs tān bāṇān vegavatas tadā pratihatya nanādoccaiḥ; sainyāni tad apūjayan.
Kemudian Karṇa menangkis dan mematahkan semua anak panah pantas yang dilepaskan oleh Arjuna, lalu mengaum lantang seperti singa. Seluruh bala tentera memuji dan mengagungkan kehebatan luar biasa itu.
