तेषां शराणां वेगेन शितानां तिग्मतेजसाम् | विमुह्यमानो राधेयो यत्नात् तमनुधावति,उन दुःसह तेजवाले तीखे बाणोंके वेगपूर्वक आघातसे राधानन्दन कर्णको मूर्च्छा आने लगी। वह बड़ी कठिनाईसे अर्जुनकी ओर बढ़ा
teṣāṁ śarāṇāṁ vegena śitānāṁ tigmātejasām | vimuhyamāno rādheyo yatnāt tam anudhāvati ||
Vaiśampāyana berkata: Dihentam oleh laju anak-anak panah yang tajam, menyala dengan daya yang garang, Rādheya (Karṇa) mula terhuyung-hayang dan hampir hilang sedar. Namun dengan susah payah, dia tetap mara mengejar Arjuna.
