Cause of Kalmāṣapāda’s Niyoga under a Curse
इत्युक्त: स तदा तेन ददानीत्येव निश्चित: । प्रत्यभाषत त॑ विप्रं प्रतिनन्द्य दिवाकर:,वसिष्ठजीके यों कहनेपर अपनी कन्या देनेका निश्चय करके भगवान् सूर्यने ब्रह्मर्षिका अभिनन्दन किया और इस प्रकार कहा--
ity uktaḥ sa tadā tena dadānīty eva niścitaḥ | pratyabhāṣata taṁ vipraṁ pratinandya divākaraḥ ||
Setelah diperkatakan demikian kepadanya, Dewa Surya (Divākara) pun menetapkan dengan teguh, “Aku akan menyerahkan (puteri itu).” Baginda menyambut serta memuliakan brahmarṣi itu, lalu menjawab dengan tutur yang penuh hormat.
