वृष्णयश्च नृपाश्चान्ये नानादेशसमागता: । वृष्णिवंशी तथा भिन्न-भिन्न देशोंसे आये हुए अन्य नरेश भी उनसे धरनुर्वेदकी शिक्षा लेते थे

Vaiśampāyana berkata: Kaum Vṛṣṇi, dan raja-raja yang lain juga—yang berhimpun dari pelbagai negeri—sering menerima daripadanya ajaran tentang Dhanurveda, ilmu memanah. Maka para pemerintah dari wilayah yang berbeza mencari latihan senjata yang berdisiplin, mencerminkan cita-cita bahawa kuasa diraja harus berasaskan kemahiran, tertib, dan bimbingan yang wajar, bukan semata-mata kelahiran atau nafsu cita-cita.
वैशम्पायन उवाच
Royal authority is ideally supported by disciplined learning and proper instruction—especially in dhanuḥveda—so that power is exercised with competence and restraint rather than mere status.
The narrator states that the Vṛṣṇis and many other kings from different regions gathered and received training in the science of archery from a teacher being described in the surrounding passage.
